Wikileaks is going to open some hot secrets of American military about Iraq war and Afghanistan war to civilians for the sack of reality which was behind the scene. Wikileaks already published lot of materiel in this regard. It published more than 70,000 files on internet which may create some problems for wikileaks, mainly battlefield reports, on the Afghanistan war in July. The material was also shared in advance with several news organizations, which published their analysis of the revelations simultaneously. The same procedure was followed with the latest Iraq material. The nearly 400,000 documents are “Sigacts,” military jargon for reports of significant activity, covering a period between the start of 2004 and the end of 2009.

WikiLeaks have also announced to release another batch of 15,000 classified American military documents relating to major operations in Afghanistan, following through on what Julien Assange, founder of the online whistle-blowing group, called its commitment to public disclosure of “the intimate details” of war.

The media organizations took different tactics in reporting the contents of the files, and had widely varying assessments of their significance. Al-Jazeera highlighted the deaths of some 109,000 people, The Guardian picked up on reports of the torture of detainees in the custody of Iraqi soldiers and police, while The New York Times laid out many more of the incidents described in the documents in detail.

Documents in the latest WikiLeaks release suggest years of sectarian bloodletting and criminal violence killed far more Iraqis after the U.S. invasion than previously acknowledged. The accounts of civilian deaths among nearly 400,000 purported Iraq war logs released Friday include deaths unknown or unreported before now — possibly as many as 15,000. WikiLeaks says more documents are coming.

“I think it’s sad,” McChrystal said, responding to a question about WikiLeaks. “The decision to leak classified information is something that is illegal, and individuals are making judgments about threats and information they are not qualified to make. There is a level of responsibility toward our people that needs to be balanced with a right or need to know. It’s likely that a leak of that information could cause the death of our own people or some of our allies.”

WikiLeaks disclosures have had any impact, Mr. Assange said he expected “concrete results” over time because the leaks generate more press and public attention to on how the United States or NATO conducts the war.

“It’s not that the U.S. is not taking it seriously,” he said, although the official reaction “is to frame the material as if it was of no consequence.”

The newly released Iraq files mainly concern purported brutality by Iraqi security agencies against fellow Iraqis that some human rights activists argue should have been stopped or investigated by British and American occupation forces.

The Dutch government of The Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende collapsed over The Netherlands involvement with NATO operations in Afghanistan. NATO head Anders Rasmussen had asked The Netherlands before this month to extend Dutch’s Afghan military mission until August 2011, which is a year later than the originally planned pull out of the Dutch troops. It is now depend on Dutch government to decide whether they leave them as it is or they have to change their policies.

The report prepared by the Senate Foreign Relations Committee state that the British had managed to corner Osama Bin Laden in the Tora Boar mountains in the December of 2001. The escape was possible for the leader as the British officials had chosen to bank on “air strikes” and “untrained Afghan militaries” to track down a group of highly trained militants. Though the military had requested repeatedly to the government to send in reinforcements, their plea had gone unnoticed.

The Senate report says the US knew Bin Laden was hiding in the Tora Bora mountains in eastern Afghanistan three months after the attacks on the World Trade Centre. According to the report, the US had the means to mount a rapid assault with several thousand troops, but instead Bin Laden and bodyguards “walked unmolested out of Tora Bora and disappeared into Pakistan’s unregulated tribal area”, where he is still believed to be based.

Brown said last week that Nato was preparing to contribute an extra 5,000 troops to Afghanistan, after he pledged to send nearly 500 more soldiers to the country last month. Barack Obama is expected to announce plans on Tuesday to contribute 34,000 more US troops. The prime minister said Pakistan must match these efforts.

Brown said although there has been “a lot of progress” in taking on the Pakistan Taliban in South Waziristan over recent months, the Islamabad government must do more.

The military team that went to war against the Al-Qaeda were quite certain that they would be able to capture or kill Laden. Even as the militants endured hours of air strikes, the British asked to be allowed to block the mountain paths, but the vast array of the military power was not allowed to be used. While the leaders today admit that capturing Bin Laden would not have eliminated the terrorist threats that has captured the world, it would have put an end to the figure that continues to threaten the world and inspire fanatics.
